WINDSOR MACHINE GROUP

Over 70 Years
of Excellence

Windsor Machine Group is recognized for its expertise in design and engineering, combined with exceptional product manufacturing capabilities. The company quickly adapts to market trends, consistently delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions for its clients. This approach has fostered strong partnerships, with the company’s commitment to cultivating personal relationships with both customers and suppliers playing a key role in its continued success.

WMG’s journey began in 1946 when Ted Peltier founded Windsor Machine & Stamping during the automotive boom. Starting with tool making and stamping, the company quickly adapted to market needs, focusing on threading and cold heading. By 1964, the company had grown to 40 employees and expanded into wire products, serving major clients like GM and Ford. Ted’s son, Lionel, took over in 1972 and expanded the company internationally, opening a facility in Romulus, Michigan. In the 1980s, WMG became a leading headrest supplier for the automotive industry, with advanced engineering and expanded production capabilities. The company continued to grow with facilities in Princeton, Indiana, and Saltillo, Mexico. By 2013, Greg and Chris Peltier took leadership, remaining committed to the company’s core values. Today, WMG employs more than 2,500 people across three countries, maintaining its family-oriented approach to customer service and product quality.
