  • Description :

    Program Managers will oversee the daily success and maintenance of key customer programs with the goal of achieving completion of all requirements on time, within budget to a high standard of overall quality.

    Job Duties

    Sales, Quality & Program:
    • Customize a program-specific work plan using Windsor Machine’s Product Development Timing template which will coordinate customer and internal requirements
    • Prepare and maintain Program Dashboards, open issue reports, program timelines (MS Project), presentations and weekly status updates report for weekly review meetings
    • Establish a reoccurring meeting schedule to clearly communicate program work plans to the customer, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure that all team members clearly understand the program requirements and their specific deliverables
    • Aid in ensuring the program deliverables achieve timing, quality and cost objectives

    • Maintain up to date PDT documents such as timelines, open issue reports, feasibility & risk assessments, component order trackers, cost tracking, etc. as assigned by the supervisor

    • Enforce and uphold proper adherence to the WMG Change Management (CMP), APQP, Prototype and Trim Processes as required by the supervisor

    Complete various tasks as assigned by supervisor

    • Adhere to the Program Management Roles & Responsibilities

    Risk Analysis:
    • Use critical path methodology to communicate slippage in timing plan and propose recommendations to recover program timing
    • Prepare specialized work plans for various timing scenarios, as required
    • Assist in identifying and communicating resource shortages to upper management

    Build Planning:
    • Aid in preparation, completion and tracking of prototype and pre-production quotes
    • Coordinate prototype and pre-production builds with Prototype group
    • Acquire customer OKTT sign-off and kick-off prototype and pre-production tooling with Purchasing in accordance to program timing plan
    • Ensure delivery of parts based on customer purchase orders
    • Communicate build status with both customers and internal team members

    • Track associated program costs/expenditures

    Customer Liaison:

    • Communicate and resolve program timing and issues with the customer
    • Act as a liaison to communicate customer needs to internal teams

    • Attend customer meetings as required

    Standardized Meetings:

    • Prepare and present Program Dashboards and assist Corporate AQE’s with policing stakeholders & due dates
    • Participate in PM group meetings
    • Prepare open issues lists & schedule weekly (minimum) meetings with team members
    • Attend Change Management meetings (Pending CCR’s for assigned programs) & support companywide adherence to the Change Management Process
    • Program Roll-Out, Initial and Final Plant Hand-off presentations
    • APQP Checklist & requirement reviews with Program team members

    Requirements:

    ·  Post-Secondary educational background, preferably in the fields of engineering, manufacturing, or business

    ·  Proven working experience in project/program management in the automotive or manufacturing industries

    ·  Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience with blueprint reading, design analysis & documentation support

    · Previous experience with PDP & APQP systems preferred, but not required

    ·  Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

    ·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    ·  Exceptional organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking

    ·  Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project
