    Position Summary

    Jr. Project Managers (JPM) assist with the daily success and maintenance of key customer programs with the goal of achieving completion of all requirements on time, within budget to a high standard of overall quality. JPM’s will ultimately assist Program Managers (PM) & other team members with all aspects of Program Requirements.

    Job Duties

    Sales, Quality & Program:
    • Prepare and maintain open issue reports, program timing summaries, presentations and weekly status updates report for weekly review meetings with the Program Management (PM) & other internal teams

    • Establish a meeting schedule to clearly communicate program work plans to the customer, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure that all team members clearly understand the program requirements and their specific deliverables as directed by the respective PM
    • Aid in ensuring the program meets all timing, quality and cost objectives

    Risk Analysis:
    • Use critical path methodology to communicate any slippage in timing plan and propose recommendations to recover program timing as directed by the respective PM
    • Prepare specialized work plans for various timing scenarios, as required as directed by the respective PM

    Build Planning:
    • Coordinate prototype and pre-production builds with Prototype group as directed by the respective PM
    • Ensure delivery of parts based on customer purchase orders as directed by the respective PM
    • Communicate build status with both customers and internal team members

    • Track associated program costs/expenditures as directed by the respective PM

    Customer Liaison:
    • Communicate and resolve program timing and issues with the Program Managers and ultimately the customer as directed by the respective PM
    • Act as a liaison to communicate customer needs to Program Managers and other internal team members

    • Attend customer meetings as required, accompanied by Program Managers

    General Support:

    • Communicate and support PM’s & team members with various tasks and assignments as seen fit

    • Absorb training from internal team members with the goal of advancing to a PM level

    • Complete tasks and errands pertaining to program requirements (part delivery, part builds, etc)

    Requirements:

    ·  Post-Secondary educational background, preferably in the fields of engineering, manufacturing, or business

    ·  Proven working experience in project/program management in the automotive or manufacturing industries preferred but not required (to be trained)

    ·  Technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience with documentation creation & support

    · Previous experience with PDP & APQP systems preferred but not required

    ·  Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills required

    ·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills required

    ·  Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking

    ·  Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project (MS Project preferred but training will be offered)

    ·  Driver’s Licence and ability to travel to the USA and Mexico
