We are looking for a highly motivated Tooling Designer to generate designs and drawings of Wire and Tube forming equipment, Rivet Machines, Manual assembly stations, Robotic Assembly Lines, Jigs, Weld Fixtures, and Checking Fixtures.

The ideal candidate will be driven to learn and understand assembly and wire/tube forming concepts - assembly process flow, metal forming and automation techniques - and will have good troubleshooting skills. A solid working knowledge of geometry, trigonometry and physics is required. Additional key attributes are "thinking outside the box," and being innately inquisitive, well organized and detail-oriented.

Job Duties:

• Create detailed 3D designs and drawings of assembly equipment.
• Participate in team design reviews and analysis.
• Design gauges and fixture tooling.
• Interface with the Manufacturing site to mitigate / resolve equipment issues
• Collaborate with Quality on GD&T print tolerances.
• Improve existing tooling to enhance performance.
• Other duties as assigned by Management

Knowledge and Education:

• Proficiency using PRO/E
• Engineering degree / diploma or 5 years minimum experience designing similar equipment
• Ability to take a general concept and develop it into a finished product with little supervision
• Automation design experience would be an asset
