The Cost Estimator will review customer and internal RFQ (request for quote) of various products. Develop cost estimations, based upon processes and labour requirements to manufacture and assemble such product.

Job Duties:

• Review customer RFQ’s.
• Perform cost analysis of new products.
• Understand various manufacturing processes to produce products.
• Analyze each step within a process as well as labour/time required
• Read and understand part drawings/math data
• Making Decisions and Solving Problems -- Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Develop cost standards and quoting systems for various products
• Communicate with internal departments and customers to improve quote accuracy
• Become familiar with equipment used to manufacture products
• Become familiar with all processes influencing cost

Requirements:

• 1-3 years minimum experience in automotive Engineering, manufacturing or a related field.
• Graduate of College or University Engineering or related education, some accounting would be an asset
• Computer literacy  
• Work well under pressure
• Has knowledge of common manufacturing processes such as metal stamping forming, plastic injection, textiles etc.
• Proficient in mathematics and using various calculations to determine cost
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, including executives
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
• Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures
• Must be ambitious and perform duties with urgency
• Must be self motivated, determined and committed
• Team oriented, works easily with various personalities
• Punctual

Work Conditions:
