The Engineering Checker will support WMG's tooling and machine development activities for the manufacturing of our lines of products. They will work in a team environment to analyze tooling and equipment requirements for building manufacturing lines and cells.

Job Duties:

• Assist in the development of the design solutions.
• Review engineering drawings and 3D models to ensure conformance to industry design standards, internal norms and checklists and other applicable standards.
• Perform and/or review dimensional fit / interference checks / tolerance analysis.
• Review drawings conformance to tolerancing and precision requirements.
• Support design review meetings, create reports and update checklists as required.
• Produce/review other required design documentation.
• Perform other duties as required.

Work Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in subjects relevant to drafting or engineering principles.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant industry experience
• Must have the ability to produce/review high quality drawings according to the automotive manufacturing standards.
• Must have experience using solid modeling CAD software. Experience using PTC Creo (Pro/Engineer) is an important asset.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
